We need you

Miwatj Health are pleased to offer this position as a Full Time opportunity. Based in our Gapuwiyak Clinic, in Gapuwiyak NT,   you will be working closely with our Aboriginal workforce which is critical to our client’s success. You’ll be committed to finding the best way to communicate with our clients and our team in order to provide great care in sometimes uncertain circumstances.

Core aspects of your role will include:

  • To work in partnership with other health professionals to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to health care.
  • Responsible for maintenance of Communicare address book, assist staff, visiting specialists and Allied health professionals with access to communicare.
  • Using the Department of Health, Travel Management system (TMS) arrange Patient travel for Miwatj clients to attend appointments at both GDH and RDH.
  • Assist clinic staff with procurement of goods and services using the NAV system.
  • Registering eligible PIPs patients, enter PIP registrations into PRODA and keeping patients Medicare details and health records up-to date to maximize Medicare revenue.
  • Assist the clinic manager in the training of new clinical employees; provide clinic administration orientation and training for reception staff as required.

A competitive salary of $65,060 - $84,582 (dependent on skills and experience) is available with this full time position.

  • Demonstrated ability to orient and train reception staff to promote client care and efficient systems.

  • A current Northern Territory driver's license
  • Ability to liaise and build relationships across a wide range of services.
  • Adhere Miwatj Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy including experience in the use of computerized Patient Information and recall Systems and a willingness to impart those skills to others.
  • Ability to manage time, set priorities and plan workload to accomplish the position responsibilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with others to achieve agreed results and outcomes.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a cross -cultural environment, fostering open communication and continuous learning with a positive and innovative approach to problem solving.
